Welcome to Stoney Middleton Horticultural Society, we welcome all residents of our village, allotment holders or anyone with a close family member resident in the Village to join us. With an ever growing membership you can take advantage of discounted seeds, plants and accessories, take part in the annual show held in September and join other members at the annual dinner and our other events. 2026 Plans

Here is a schedule of events planned so far, we will be adding garden visits soon.

  • Wednesday 25 March: AGM at the Church, 7.00pm. Come and collect your ‘potato in a bucket‘ and sunflower seeds for the Annual show, enjoy a glass of wine and our raffle. Membership fees of £3 due too.
  • Friday 24 April: Annual Meal: please book online and make your menu choices – click here.
  • Saturday 12 September – Annual Village Show with entries night on Wednesday 9 September. Please note this is NOT the first Saturday in September as usual, we had to move it as the Hall was already booked.

2025 Village Show

Thank you to everyone that attended our annual show on Saturday 6th September. A special thank you to everyone that submitted an entry and to the judges and volunteers who helped make the event a great success.

This year we had a new Award for the Best Exhibit in the Show, a difficult judging task comparing vegetables, fruit, home baking, flowers and arts & craft, but the judges were unanimous in picking Kath Mulvey’s dahlia exhibit shown here.
